The Regional Environmental Protection Agency (ARPA) was set up in Umbria the 6th of March 1998. The entity is a regional structure, with technical-administrative autonomy and is subject to the supervision of the Regional Council.
The agency’s activities range cover from investigation of trace pollutants in different environmental matrices to monitoring network management, controlling air, water and soil quality, waste, radiation and noise, large industrial risks and building systems information and environmental databases.
