Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries
Global inequalities are very wide and represent one of the greatest obstacles to sustainable development and the fight against poverty.
In the United Nations report there are a series of recommendations, also in view of the International migration review forum to be held in 2022: strengthen the implementation of the Global Compact to improve governance and cooperation at all levels, through the development of national implementation plans that are also aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals; implement response actions to Covid-19 that are in line with the principles of the Global compact and outline them based on the principles illustrated by Secretary General António Guterres in June 2020 in the policy brief on “Covid-19 and people on the move”.
Goals:
One of the goals identified to achieve this multi-dimensional goal is to facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people, including through the implementation of planned and well-managed migration policies.
